Thank You Jesus
Jesus,
Thank You for being my personal Lord and Savior.
Thank You and our Heavenly Father the Lord God
for being my navigator and pilot.
Thank You for being my assistor and intercessor.

Thank You being my guiding light.
Thank You for the holy blood You unselfishly
shed for me on that old rugged cross at Calvary,
so that I can be saved.

Thank You for through the shedding of Your holy
blood, You washed me of all my sins.
Thank You for the suffering You did for me
on that old rugged cross.

Thank You for loving me so much as to lay down
Your life for me a lowly sinner. Then on the
third day walk out of Your grave, so that I
am now free from the chains of Satan that
bound me because of sin.

Thank You for guarding my mind from unholy

GOD'S GOODNESS SHOULD LEAD MEN TO REPENTANCE

Today,I would like to share a bit of my testimony,of where I was and where God has brought me to. You see,some get superspiritual and say"You know I don't know where I'd be if not for God"....Well I DO know.I would either have been locked up or dead...NO MAYBE.When I look at the friends I had and the"brothers" I rolled with,and see what has happened to their lives,I know I am only here because of HIS grace.And the thing is,I didn't go looking to join a gang,NO.I was looking to be accepted,to be part of something.
I grew up without a father and without brothers,so when I met an older guy,who promised to die with me,rather than let anything happen to me,I thought "Maaan,now that's love.
On the street you were taught to bleed for your brother.You said mantras like"I AM my brother's keeper".You cut thumbs and shared blood and became "blood brothers"....If I only knew then what I was doing(BUT of course as a teenager you think you know EVERYTHING)....
So you spend weekends either in holding cells or burying your friends(I once lost 8 friends in about 6 weeks). When you get arrested,none of your fiends visit you,though.Nobody told me this.When you have ambitions,they break you down and laugh at you.
I didn't just DO drugs,I sold them (for the police,no less),and it took me being shot to wake me up,and to seperate me permanently from my past.
The life I lived is not something I wish for my children,or for any other parents children....so you see the reason we are so passionate about the youth,and the reason we are involved in spreading the GOSPEL through the medium of HIP HOP.

Your teenagers are looking for someone to love and appreciate them.Someone who will listen without being judgemental or hypocritical. Someone who will value their opinions.Someone who will say they are the best.Someone who will call them BEAUTIFUL,PRECIOUS,PRICELESS,A PRINCE OR A PRINCESS....
My pray is that as parents,YOU will be that person....

They are looking for a HERO.Will they find one in you?Do you represent Jesus to your children,or are you just religious,and show no signs of the Saviour who died,but was still full of unconditional love and forgiveness for His persecutors.Ask God to turn your hearts towards your children,or trust me their hearts will be turned elsewhere,and you will lose them to the streets,to gangs,to drugs,etc.(Read Mal 4:6)

We will soon be posting some artists reviews (Gospel Hip Hop),so that you can be in touch with what is happening and who is doing what in the Gospel Hip Hop arena,and TRUST me,the artists are even BETTER than the ones we hear on the radio and in the secular market,as with Rap,you have to really have skill,to rhyme and not swear or be rebellious,and slander and disrespect your mother,and women in general.

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ, (Please read that first part again) cause that’s what we are. How would you feel if your Brother has to get killed for something you did?

We keep saying we are Sons of the Most High and daughters of the Most High, so how do you feel knowing that your Brother died for your Sin? The word clearly states that Jesus died for our sins. So if your brother was killed for something you did, why go and do it again and again?

The reason is quite simple really,through our accepting Jesus as our Saviour,by faith we had a "surgery" performed on our spirits,but the duty of the renewing of our minds,is our responsibility.Rom12 Verse 2 states that we must be transformed by the renewal of our minds. We will not be reconditioned like an old car engine,but transformed like the butterfly that flies out of a cocoon that once belonged to a worm. The problem is our mindset,that we feel like slaves instead of accepting that we are indeed sons and daughters. This is due to a by-product again of what we feed our minds,through the music we listen to,the programs we watch,and the trash we read,or the R-Rated magazines that men read and ogle over. We send trashy e-mails,and when a man says "Don't send me that rubbish",it is assumed that something is wrong with him. Remember the man controlled by the flesh cannot please God,and the wages of a sinful mind is death....but the mind controlled by the spirit is LIFE and PEACE.
I wish you choose LIFE AND PEACE today. I pray you make a conscious effort to begin reading your BIBLE -DAILY,and that DAILY your mind be renewed,so that transformation may come. My pastor says the beautiful thing about transformation is that it is permanent, so stop trying to make temporary changes,but may you through reading and meditating on His word,be transformed,and no longer are conformed to the pattern of this world
(Rom 12:1-2).

31 If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;

So many people know verse 32 and quote it"The truth shall set you Free",but notice the pre-requisite:
"If you abide in my word".Also so many claim to be a disciple,but the word is clear,that those who abide in His word are His disciples. I love music,love it to bits.I love rapping,love reaching people, BUT I love HIS WORD MORE.His word is a lamp to my feet,His Word is my council,my guide,my shelter, my refuge,my comfort. When I feel lost and alone,it's His Word that I find Strength in. Brothers and Sisters,grow in His Word,learn to love His word.... for it will keep you together when all else fails,it will lift your head when you feel downtrodden,it will give you reason to rejoice, when others in a similar situation to you,want to just die. If you are wondering where to begin,try Proverbs.It has 31 chapters.For 31 days in the month.Isn't He awesome?Ask Him to open up the dimensions of His word to you.He says in Jer 33:3"call to me and I will show you unsearchable truths,things you did not know"
I pray that you will begin(if you have not already) to abide in His word.Get an audio bible,listen to it on the way to work, Don't say you can't make/find time...You can!!!

"Good Morning ,Lord"

There are two kinds of people.One wakes up and says "Good Lord,Morning;
while the other wakes up and says "Good Morning ,Lord"

Which are you? Do you arise and acknowledge that He has given you a new day?
Do you awaken with a song of praise,thanking Him for His grace and mercy,for HIS
love and unmerited favour?For His protection over you.For the fact that you had a nice warm bed
to sleep in,for you health and loved ones?
Or do you awake and moan and groan,because you have to go to work and it's cold,
and Oh how you wish you could have just won the lotto and you wouldn't have to work...

I,myself am a little extra excited today,as we beagn a prayer group at work.
Curently we are two,but we know there is a third person in our midst,and we look
forward to numbers being added to us.
The Word states in Eph 3:1-10-11

10. that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.
11. This was according to the eternal purpose which he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,

You see, we must take authority in the Spirit as sons and daughters of God,and prophesy and proclaim Him over our workspace,
giving Him praise for He is our Provider,not our salaries or bosses....HE IS.

Don't wait for things to go wrong in your day,before you acknowledge Him.
He is ever-present,and Omni-present.
Start your day by giving Him praise.

Find just one other believer in your office,and remember where two are gathered in His name-He is there.

Why is it that we blame God when Things go wrong ,while all along He had been warning us to obey Him?

Why is it when things go right that we consider it our right,or by our abilities, and not HIS grace?

I,myself have felt the sting and pain of disobedience to the Father,but for this I am MOST grateful....that He is a loving God,and is quick to forgive those who will return to Him.

He is gracious,and full of mercy,so if you find yourself today in the place where life has become burdensome,and you have lost more than you can count....take heart,for HE is the restorer and finisher of our faith.

Today,make a decision,to leave the past where it belongs,in the past,and pay attention to His commands,so that your PEACE MAY BECOME LIKE A RIVER,AND YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS LIKE THE WAVES OF THE SEA......

Remember He is the same yesterday,today and tomorrow,and His word will not return void,but will accomplish that for which it was sent.

I may have missed Him before,but there is a revival coming,a time of jubilee,and I have made the decision NOT to miss Him again. Seek Him daily,not just on a Sunday,and as you grow in Him,may His grace abound to you,as He changes you day by day,and step by step into the image of the firstborn,JESUS.

A CALL TO PRAISE

Sunday is Madiba day and everybody has to do some act of charity for 67 minutes. But Sunday like ever other Sunday is a call to praise God, We recognise Sunday as the Sabbath. We should acknowledge the Lord every Sunday because it’s the Lords Days, Sunday should be a day we set aside to give the Lord thanks.



Psalm 122;1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

But should we praise him and attend service not for attendance or that somebody might notice us, not because we want to impress anybody.



Psalm 95 ;2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.



Praise the LORD, O my soul;all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Praise the LORD, O my soul,and forget not all his benefits-

Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

So again we have a challenge for you for the reason for our blog is not to draw you close to us but to Draw you close to Him , Your Creator and while it is good to honour a man like Madiba a living icon and legend it is better to honour a living God. Before any acts of charity or any acts of Kindness let us begin our Sunday by giving our Father thanks and honouring a living God the reasons as stated above because he loves you , because he freed you from sin and death that’s because he shows compassion towards you. The only reason you are able to read this today is because he chose to give you this day. Everything you have is because of him so lets honour him and worship his because of this. Right now he is with you and he never leaves you. His omni presence and ever present .

Share this message with somebody who may need to attend the house of the Lord. Remember once again as always you are Blessed to be a Blessing. With That said we (Ghetto Gospel) would like to send our best wishes and blessings in abundance to Nelson Mandela and everyone of you this weekend.

SALT AND LIGHT

Today's post is about salt and light

Matthew 5 ;13-16


"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.



This one is not for the Daddy’s Family who reads the blog on a daily, But it is for someone you know who doesn’t read the blog on a daily, Could be that person in your office that doesn’t have the time it could be your neighbour, friend, brother in law , uncle any body. Verse 16 states that You must let you light shine before Men and that is the challenge today.

So fellow B.I.C (Brother in Christ) and S.I.C (Sisters in Christ) we have a challenge for you today and the challenge comes not from us but from God that you would share his light with somebody today. This is because somebody that you know is either in a dark place or life for them has lost all its seasoning and flavour, You therefore need to shine light or bring Salt into that persons life. The most selfish thing we could possibly do is keep it to ourselves. Decide today to be a pipeline / channel and not a dam for you yourself risk loosing your saltiness and as stated in verse 13, You will be “ No longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

James 3; 9-11

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD

TODAY SCRIPTURE is taken from Psalm 37:'Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

As a father i always want to give my children everything their heart desires be it Toys clothing you name it.Ever notice how when you child appreciates what you do , you want to give them more. Or how when they don't appreciate what you do, you want to take it all away.Notice how Jesus healed 10 lepers but only 1 returned to say THANK YOU . That one received not only a physical healing but also a spiritual one.
(Take note : Jesus stood in the exact same Place that he was when he healed them) So firstly, We need to adopt a attitude of gratitude and be thankful for the things we have and thereafter make a conscious effort to start seeking the Fathers heart and not his hands.

Another well know scripture is Matthew 6;33 "Seek yee First ....."
God Knows your needs....ALL OF THEM, So stop bombarding him with Prayers and choose instead to bombard heaven with your praise(The word states that God dwell among the praises of his people) and he will most assuredly grant you the desires of your heart( Take Note: Not just your needs but your desires).

TAKE 5 MINUTES OUT OF TODAY, TAKE A PEN AND PAPER AND START A GRATITUDE LIST. LIST 5 THINGS THAT YOU ARE GRATE FULL FOR TODAY.ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THIS TAKE TIME TO VERBALLY THANK GOD FOR ALL THAT HE HAS DONE FOR YOU AND THANK HIM IN ADVANCE FOR WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO FOR YOU. REMEMBER YOU ARE BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING.

A FATHERS LOVE ( HEY YOUNG BLOOD)

Scripture – Proverbs 22;6 – Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.,
Scripture – Malachi 4;6 - He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their father; or else I will come and strike the land of the curse.

As a Man however and as a father I feel the need to speak to other men as fathers. Invest time in your kid, allow God to turn your hearts to your kids, It is an investment that will bring a return, The Greatest return you could imagine. We know what we have been through and the battle we had to overcome, not forgetting the permanent scars we walk around hiding but are still there . The greatest injustice that we can do as Fathers would be to not warn out children ( Lovingly ) and to guide and teach them so that they might live a life of liberty, free of bondage, hooks and chain not forgetting a past filled with hurt shame and anger. I always tell my daughter (Of 15 Years Old) that any fool can rectify his mistakes but it is a wise man who learns from another’s mistakes and I beg her to learn from mine and not make the same mistakes I have. So my question to all parents today is WHO TRAINS YOUR CHILD? Is it you? Or is it Mtv? Who teaches them Love , Is it you or is it that boy with that hidden agenda, Or maybe Brooke Logan. Catch my Drift? Who teaches your son respect? Is it you father or is it that drug dealer slanging rock on the corner or maybe that Gangster that wears a bullet proof vest like 50 cent?

In closing “ I wish men could be trusted to hug and not Fondle, I wish fathers were the Protectors and not the Molesters.

Today I am dedicating to all the real fathers out there. Mothers lets not wait until Fathers day to recognise something that is in your face everyday.

BLESSINGS FOR OBEDIENCE

As am writing this piece i was shocked that the fingers were pointing back at me and that all my talents and abilities don't matter , that my personality means nothing, that my style and my smile means nothing, Even my sacrifices mean nothing for the word says , Obedience is GREATER THAN SACRIFICE.
God's word is clear that we will either be blessed for our obedience or cursed for disobedience, Deuteronomy 28 ;1-2 (Read entire chapter). However as a start Deuteronomy 28;1 "If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands i give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on Earth. Verse 2 to the end, speaks about all the blessings that will come upon you if you obedient. Verse 13 speaks of " The Lord will make you the Head and not the tail and you will only be above and not beneath........."

Today practice patience and obedience , not only to God but to your fellow People around you. Remember its the little things Count.

The flip side is that there is curses for disobedience but we try to encourage you , So go and read the curses as well BUT FOCUS ON THE BLESSINGS FOR OBEDIENCE

Let's stop trying to change others,and let's focus on drawing close to God,so that He can change US,and maybe others will change based on the change that HE has made in you,as you now become HIS ambassador.

Many times we tend to forget what God has done for us in the past when we meet new giants in our lives. Giants are the problems, challenges that we face in our life, it is so easy to deal with the small problem through faith in the Lord, but big problem we forget that with the same faith we have in the Lord we can overcome this problem, David says the same God who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this philistine, so the same God who gave live to you, the same God who protected you and your family when the enemy rises up against you, the same God who healed your disease and your sickness, the same God who is there, when nobody is there for you, Is the same who will deliver you from that giants you are facing now, it doesn’t matter the size of the of the giants big or small, the same God will deliver you, what you need to do is to believed in this God, who never leave or nor for sake you.

DARKEST BEFORE DAWN

Ever notice how,when you are on the brink of a breakthrough,that everything goes crazy?
Ever notice how just when you think things are getting better,they somehow get worse?
And then, instead of us clinging to God, we doubt,we "throw our toys" and then say "Why me ,Lord?"
I read somewhere once that we can only say " Why me .Lord?" if we also say "Why me Lord?' when God blesses us out our socks.

Because,somehow the nature of man, is that we want victory without the battle.
We want to get to the throne, but don't want to go to the Cross(which is where our journey to the throne must begin).
We want Canaan,but don't want to go through the desert.
We want to be built up , to be better people,but we don't want to go through the fire.

James1says: 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

and also...
v 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Do yourself a favour,and read the entire first chapter of James,I,m sure it will change some perceptions you may have or for some, it may confirm to you,that you are exactly where HE wants you to be,and please,don't judge yourself,by where someone else might be in life.
You must run YOUR race and you must run it with PATIENCE(smile),but that's a topic for another day.

We cannot change our past,but we can redirect our future,and plot a NEW course.
Stop waiting until you are perfect to do something for God,you will never be perfect. Paul speaks of "straining",and sometimes life feels just like that "strain",but we should never tire of doing good.We should never tire of going after God. We should never tire of spreading His WORD,and sharing His LIGHT.

He does not hold our past against us,so we,too should not hold our past against ourselves.My pastor once said,that we must ask ourselves"Am I against myself?"In other words,am I my own worse enemy?
Make a decision today,not to be hard on yourself,your worth has not changed in God's eyes,and never will. He loves you,dearly,so what right have you not to love yourself?He calls you the apple of His eye?Did you know this?
I don't know who I am speaking to today,but whoever you are,give yourself a break from your past,and just keep straining forward. He has a prize waiting for you.He IS the prize.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9

I THOUGHT OF YOU !!!

Imagine losing your family(through divorce),then watching as the Sheriff drives away in you BMW,while his assistant drives off in your Landrover.Then going into a disciplinary at work ,and being dismissed ,because you are"burnt out".Then you lose your townhouse ,which you now cannot afford....ALL IN ONE MONTH.
I was angry,very hurt and angry,and I did something foolish,in which I know I am not alone,I withdrew from God. I became rebellious,and hardened my heart,so that i would not feel the sting of rejection,nor would show the amount of pain I was carrying.
My pastor says that rejection is simply pride in disguise.And as we know God resists the proud.
One night,this scripture came to me(Is.54:7-10),and as I read it I wept(although I thought I no longer could or would).God revealed HIS love to me that night,and He revealed to me,HIS deep compassion for me.And the fact that like a rebellious child, I had angered my father.
I returned to Him the next morning(You see I had not entered a church for nearly 16 months). It has been challenging since,and I am not yet where I want to be,but I know I am where I NEED to be.AT HIS SIDE.
Friends,NEVER run from Him.He is the ONLY ONE who remained,the Only one who loved me UNCONDITIONALLY,just as HE loves YOU -UNCONDITIONALLY.
BE ENCOURAGED THAT WHATEVER PAIN OR SUFFERING OR SETBACK OR LONELINESS you feel, YOU ARE NOT ALONE,AND NEVER WILL BE.

GO TELL SOMEONE TODAY.....THAT GOD LOVES THEM,AND THAT JESUS DIED FOR THEM,SO THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE.....
I CHALLENGE YOU,GO TELL SOMEONE....Jesus IS life,He IS PEACE.HE IS MY ALL IN ALL.
